Thanksgiving 2009

"Sedona OR Bust!"

So, we started this great adventure with a delicious meal at Mimi's Cafe....Who Knew it could be so good?  We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yummy bread, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie...AND....spaghetti, french toast, pancakes, waffles, chicken nuggets, french fries, chocolate milk, Sprite.......thanks Grandma Janet for a YUMMY meal that everyone LOVED!

Beau was so excited to have FOOD!

Can you guess who had pancakes, eggs, chicken and french fries?

Or who had waffles and syrup for Thanksgiving?

Beau also loved having his OWN Chocolate Milk!

So, when we finally made it to Sedona....the first item on the agenda was to hit the POOL!  The heater on the pool was not on - so the kids had fun jumping into the cold pool and then the hot tub. 

Everyone loved the hot tub!

Beau loved the pool too....

We had so much fun playing at the parks.....

Beau & Talon loved playing catch.....

The little boys loved swinging too....

Lots of card games and football games back at the hotel....

The "hot" spot was always Grandma Janet's room.....

Wrestling & Treats.....

We started Friday off with a fun family hike...

We found caves....

We crossed several little streams....

We saw beautiful scenery...

We climbed "BIG" rocks....

We fought all the "bad" guys...

And the "bears"....

Some of us got carried....

Some made it all the way to the end....

And some of us were WIPED out!

After playing at the park again and eating pizza.....we were off to see some pretty Christmas lights.....

Emma & Beau loved the lights too.

We even saw Santa....

(an extremely pathetic Santa....)

The next morning Ben & Joshua went on a "REAL" hike - Joshua said this was the best part of the whole trip.  They went off the trail and hiked straight up a mountain.

Then we hiked the "airport hike" - it was very windy at the top.

Even gimpy made it to the top....

Thanks to Grandma Janet for making this all possible.....such fun memories.  My kids have talked non-stop about their great trip with their cousins.  Thanks again Mom!
