Look Who Arrived Just in Time for Christmas!
Yes, Baby Will arrived last Monday at 5:28am! Here are some pictures from his first photo shoot! This is a picture of Brian (the best labor and delivery nurse!), Lori, Will and Dr. Huish
This is Will and Dr. Huish - So glad the doctor arrived just in time for one more push to get Will out! The cord was wrapped around his neck TWICE - so we are thankful Dr. Huish was there to untangle the mess. (the cord was at least 3 feet long.....CRAZY)
The newest Ben Mecham posterity.....
WILLIAM EDWARD MECHAM
(Ben was a trooper - he slept on the fold out couch until about 5:15am and then hopped right up when I said I think I better get the nurse.....)
Love this baby's full lips....
Here are some new friends of Will.....
Cheri "The Cookie Lady"
Oh yeah, she is also my friend from the gym....
Then there is Jennifer....my friend and Emma's REALLY good friend...
And I am very sad that I didn't take pictures of Grandma Janet, Aunt Kim, Grandpa Paul, Vikki and LeElla all visiting the hospital.....
But, one good thing to note....Will passed all tests with flying colors....
He can hear! Yea! These sounds in his ears are probably nothing compared to what he has been hearing inside the womb for the past 9 months!
After 2 great days at the hospital....we are finally going home to brave the zoo....
Will is all strapped up ready to go.
Here is how everyone is adjusting at home...
This pretty much sums up how my oldest 2 feel about having William join our family...
Emma is by far the most helpful and excited about a REAL LIVE baby!
Logan loves to look and stare at the baby....
Joshua loves to hold Will....
(Thanks to Aunt Natalie for this cute chocolate brown outfit!)
Did I mention how much Emma loves to hold the baby????
AND then there is BEAU....he pretty much says,
"Don't forget who is the real baby around here!"
Notice he is strapped into his chair eating CHOCOLATE!
He is having quite the adjustment...today I was holding Beau to look at the baby while Ben was changing him. I was holding Beau's arms down so that he couldn't hit the baby (which he loves to do) - so then he was reaching out his legs to kick the baby.....happy times.
I forgot to mention how Will is adjusting to our family...
"What did I get myself into???"
All in all....Will is the best Christmas present a family could ever ask for! We are so grateful he is here safe and sound.....
Merry Christmas 2009!
