Favorite Easter Tradition
Easter Pageant
One of our favorite Easter traditions is taking our family to the Easter Pageant. We really aren't that big on Easter egg hunts or the Easter Bunny...
(ok let's be honest- Mom isn't really into any of this - I don't like all the sugar, the money spend on candy I will just throw away - the kids probably would be really into it!)
But, we do love taking dinner to the Temple grounds and watching the pageant. This year, Joshua, Emma, Will and I went early to get dinner and save seats. Along the way, we ran into a "Roman Soldier"!
We also got a picture with some of the shephards....
All the kids actually paid attention and seemed to enjoy it! Emma especially loved the angels and the dancers - one of her dance teachers was one of the 10 virgins.
Beau loved pointed out "GEE-THUS"! He also loved going around kissing everyone in the family - I thinking he was feeling the love of the temple grounds.
Emma wanted to know if it was "naughty" of Jesus to leave his parents when we was 12 years old.....Joshua wanted to see when we could all try out to be in the pageant....(maybe one year)....and Logan was just trying to figure out how the angels didn't blow over in the wind, and how Jesus was floating in the air at the end. And Will was quite content to snuggle under his baby blanket. It was a great night for the whole family!
Happy Easter 2010!

2 Charming Insights...:
ahhh man....i love that tradition. we normally go each year, but this year seemed a bit crazy. the thought of 5 kids in a crowd gives me the chills. how did you do it???
regardless of how hectic it may be, its such a good thing for the kids. i'm glad you had more guts than me!
I didn't get to go this year - we were too busy doing Easter egg hunts and eating candy. :)
