Joshua's Happy Happenings....
Joshua has had some fun happenings in his life this month of April....here are some of the highlights that have made him "HAPPY"!

1.  His favorite 4th grade teacher Mrs. Huliee is back from maternity leave!

2.  Joshua is officially done with practicing Clair de Lune.....a beautiful song on the piano.  He has been practicing this song for about 8 months.  He was asked to play this piece for some entertainment at the Sunland Springs Clubhouse.  I am really proud of him for playing/learning this song - it is way too hard for me to play.  Grandpa Ed came to listen to him play and was impressed with his "dynamics" on the piano.  Grandma Janet has been a fabulous and inspiring teacher for Joshua!

3.  We met the Mayor of Mesa!
Every 4th grader at Franklin entered a writing contest sponsored by the United Way - the topic was "Why getting involved in your community is important."  Joshua won 2nd place and Mayor Scott Smith gave him his award.
This is a picture of Joshua "waiting" to get his award.....actually all he could think about was hurrying up the process so that he could get to the REAL EXCITEMENT of the day.......his FOOTBALL GAME!
The cheering section......
(Ben is Logan's football coach - and of course they had a game.....so it was just the 4 of us cheering him on!)

4.  Joshua found out he got accepted in the Academy for Advanced Studies.  He will start 5th grade there next year and stay until high school.   Logan has informed him he will HAVE to make new friends - and Joshua let him know that EVERYBODY will have to make new friends.  He will learn spanish and mandarin languages next year as well as continue with his violin....and there is a BUS for transportation!  We will have children at 3 different schools next year..... (more about Beau's school next post....)

5.  The most exciting news of the week for Joshua was playing in his Viking's football game.  He was able to get there by half time and catch a few passes (as well as drop a few too....)
We love having Wendi and Brian live so close.  They literally live right across the street from the football fields - so we have been lucky to have them at both Logan's and Joshua's games.  Last Saturday I was racing to get to the field and saw this cute little jogging mom pushing her baby in a stroller......WHO KNEW it was Wendi????
Here is a picture of the next 3 generations of football players???
Next weeks post......
Happy Happenings of Mr. Beau Geddes......
