Joshua LOVEd Dad to time him.
They all LOVEd the meets.
They all LOVEd their ribbons.
They all LOVEd their swim teammates.
Mom, Beau & Will LOVE that it is over!
Here are some pictures of our Flying Fish!
Joshua loves the competition. He made it to the city semi-finals in backstroke, freestyle and the IM. He competed in the city finals in the Individual Medley and Freestyle. He tied for 5th in the freestyle race. Close competition - the winner swam a 14.21 and Joshua's time was 14.44. Very fun race to watch.
He took 6th in the IM - he was very excited to have his personal record beat on this race. 1.30 seconds.
Joshua's YELLOW goggles
How many pairs of goggles does it take to get through the summer????
The yellow pair was Joshua's THIRD pair of goggles - a pair that he worked very hard to pay for himself. They pretty much never left his sight after the big purchase.
Logan loved the social scene at swim team. He loved swimming with his friend Eli. He loved staying after practice and playing cards with Joshua and friends.
Logan has a great butterfly stroke. He is excited to be the oldest in his division next year!
Have I mentioned before that Logan's favorite color is PINK?
This was Emma's first year competing. First year learning all the strokes.
She did great!
She swam in the first heat for every race (they place them by their time) and swam in all the A Relay's except for breastroke. She got disqualified!! She flutter kicked when she should be dolphin kicking. Who knew? She took the DQ paper they gave her, folded it up, and then ate it! Then she proceeded to skip over to us to show us her PINK ribbon! (Her participation ribbon!)
Emma loved swimming with her friend Tessa...
Swimming Again?
Beau's expression says it all!
Many competitive teams from all over Arizona competed.
The meet cost $18 - so he earned the money to pay for the meet.
He finished the season with a BANG!
Highlight of the Day?
3 Medals
First Place in the 50 yard Freestyle
Second Place in the 25 yard Backstroke
Third Place in the IM- Individual Medley
Can't Wait for next year!
