It's A Bird, It's A Plane....
It's A Flying Playhouse?????
It's true.....
About a year ago, I got this itch to purchase a NICE playhouse.  You know, one that is made of wood, has nails and won't break when my kids climb on the roof???
Do you know how expensive some of these playhouses can be?
I had no idea.
My search led me to the SHOP class at Marcos De Niza High School!!!
Who Knew?
The shop class makes 14 playhouses a year and then sells them.  They go through the whole "construction process" just like they would if they were building a REAL house.
Plus, it was only $400!
Now, $400 might sound like a lot of money, which it is, BUT, when you try to find a similar playhouse we were talking $1200+ and up!

Emma and I went down to the High School at the end of the last school year.
We picked out a house that she thought was perfect!
Problem?
I weighs 800+ pounds and doesn't fit through our gate.
My $400 bargain - not so much of a bargain when I had to pay to have it delivered and then pay to have a CRANE lift it over our fence and clear our house!
It was quite an exciting Saturday morning....

Needless to say, the playhouse LANDED safely!
Next time you see a picture of this....it will be painted and have curtains!

That's one of the coolest things I've seen! I'll have to find out how to get in on this.

Reminds me of our next door neighbors, the Williams, growing up. When they moved in, they had a playhouse craned into their backyard, too. We had a lot of good times in that playhouse, although I do remember wishing it had A/C...

I really know I'm out of the loop when I have to read about this on facebook! Can't wait to see it! Is Emma so excited?

Uhhh, the crane seems like a much better idea than what we did with Julia's playhouse from Marion - you know the yellow one in the backyard? We backed the truck up to the back wall and had 2 guys on one side of the wall, and two on the other side of the wall and almost killed all four of us. I am also interested in the crane cost???

Hi Lori...I happened upon your blog through someone else's blog and I know you from body pump. You are an awesome teacher by the way. Inspiring and funny! Love your class. Anyhow, also love some music that you and Jennifer play and want to add it to my ipod but I don't know the names of the songs or the artists. Do you have a list anywhere and do you know if Jennifer does? I called the gym and they were no help at all. I really need to add some fun upbeat music to my playlist so any help is very appreciated. :)
